The Midwest Truck Series was back in action on Friday, September 15th at Jefferson Speedway for Race 11 of the 2023 Season. 22 Trucks were on hand at ‘Wisconsin’s Action Track’ with Jeff Holtz coming away with Six08 Graphics Fast Time with a lap of 14.367. Three heat races would be up next with James Swan winning heat 1, Bobby Selsing Jr. winning heat 2, and Tucker Bodendorfer winning heat 3.
James Lynch and Bodendorfer would lead the field to the green in the Nora’s Tavern 50. Lynch would get the jump and take the lead with Bodendorfer, Derek Doerr, Selsing Jr., and Jason Stark rounding out the top 5. The field would work together and get into a groove and was clicking laps off at a great pace.
Lap 14 would see Stark get to the inside of Selsing Jr. off of turn 2 and Stark would take the spot down the backstretch.
Lap 16 would Aaron Moyer work his way into the top 5 as he would also get past Selsing Jr. The field continued to click off laps until lap 27 when Jesse Green spun out in turn 2.
On the restart, it would be Lynch getting the advantage but not for long as a lap later the caution would come out in turn 4 for a spinning Bodendorfer after contact was made with Doerr sending both to the rear.
On the restart, Lynch would again pull away and set the pace with Stark in 2nd and Jacob Nottestad working his way into the 3rd spot with Moyer in 4th and Bryce Miller working his way up into the top 5. Laps 34 through 38 would see Miller and Brandon Reichenberger battling back and forth for the 5th spot swapping spots 4 times in 4 laps before Reichenberger would pull away.
In the end, Lynch would hang on and take the checkered flag with Nottestad in 2nd, Moyer in 3rd, Reichenberger in 4th, and Stark rounding out the top 5.
