Roberto Lacorte, Antonio Fuoco and Giorgio Sernagiotto Return, Joined by Eddie Cheever III at the Rolex 24
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Cetilar Racing has confirmed the driver lineup that will be in the team’s No. 47 Ferrari 296 GT3 for the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup events on the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship schedule.
Roberto Lacorte, Antonio Fuoco and Giorgio Sernagiotto will return in the Ferrari for all five endurance races. They’ll be joined by Eddie Cheever III, the son of 1998 Indy 500 winner Eddie Cheever, for the Rolex 24 At Daytona that opens the season Jan. 27-28.
Lacorte and Fuoco were members of the Cetilar team that won the GT Daytona (GTD) class at the 2022 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The best finish for the No. 47 this year was 13th in GTD at the season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans, as the team came to grips with the new Ferrari 296 GT3.
“The 2023 season was not easy,” Lacorte said. “We were aware of it from the beginning, but it served to develop the car to take a step forward compared to our competitors. Cetilar Racing was the first to hit the track with the Ferrari 296 GT3, making history with this car, and now we aim to do even better.”
