SCOTTY COOK NAMED NOW600 NATIONAL ANNOUNCER

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (March 19, 2024) – Scotty Cook of Columbia, Missouri has been named full time announcer for the Dirt2Media NOW600 Micro Sprint National Championship presented by Hi Plains Building Division.

Cook, who is mostly known in the Sprint Car industry as the former pit reporter of ASCS and RacinBoys, will be the play by play announcer with NOW600 during the 2024 season.

When his time allowed, Scotty was also a pit reporter with NOW600 during 2022 and 2023 while also commentating on the Dirt2Media broadcast in February during the Florida Micro FunFest.

I have known and worked with Scotty for 11 years.” commented NOW600 Series Founder, Terry Mattox. “Scotty has a great sense of humor and lots of knowledge about the sport. I am very excited he has decided to come on tour with us.”

“Terry has always been like a brother to me.” stated, Cook. “I’ve become pretty fascinated with the micro scene over my years working the Tulsa Shootout and have also become pretty intrigued by the growth of NOW600. Anyone who knows me well is aware that I have a true passion for working with the kids. So I’m looking forward to getting the ball rolling and showcasing the large amount of untapped talent from the grassroots aspect of open wheel racing.”
