MARCH 20, 2024
CAMBRIDGE CITY, Indiana – Presley Sorah will make his ARCA Menards Series East debut at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida, next Saturday, March 23.
Sorah will pilot the Fast Track Racing No. 12 Toyota Camry, owned by fellow Indiana native and 1995 ARCA Menards Series champion, Andy Hillenburg.
“Being a professional race car driver has been my lone career aspiration my entire life. I can’t wait to take this massive leap and begin racing nationally in the ARCA Menards Series,” Sorah said. “I’ve worked extremely hard over the years to create opportunities for myself, and I can’t wait to see some of that pay off next weekend.”
Sorah began racing go karts at just 10 years old. He has most recently competed in the CRA Late Model Sportsman series as well as the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series, recording a best finish of eighth at Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana, on July 22nd, 2023. In January, the 20-year-old also took part in the ARCA Menards Series pre-race practice weekend at Daytona, driving the No. 06 Toyota Camry for Wayne Peterson Racing.
Presley continues to have a successful sim racing career on the iRacing platform, stemming back to 2018 in the eNASCAR Ignite Series. He has most notably competed in the Monday Night Racing Pro Series (MNR), an iRacing league composed of motorsports industry members. In 2022, Sorah won the MNR Season 5 championship in his rookie season. Currently, Presley streams part-time on Twitch while competing in iRacing series such as UFL and Elite Racing League.
Andy Hillenburg’s Fast Track Racing competes regularly across the ARCA Menards Series platform. In 2023, Fast Track Racing finished fourth in ARCA Menards Series East championship standings with driver Zachary Tinkle, and fifth in the ARCA Menards Series national points with driver Jon Garrett.
“To make my first career start driving for Andy and the Fast Track Racing team is extremely special,” Sorah said. “The history of the team speaks for itself, and you’re not going to find many teams as welcoming as Fast Track. It’s a very neat crossover, especially with us both coming from Indiana.”
Presley is no stranger to the team, as he competes under the Fast Track banner in sim racing competitions, and even spotted for the team three times throughout the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season.
Presley’s No. 12 car will have Chris Vanscoy as crew chief. It will be sporting primary sponsorship from Otwells Extreme Motorsports (OEM Pensacola), a family owned and operated powersports store based in Pensacola. Tatanka Sauce, rated as one of Food Network’s “Best Eats in Delaware” will be featured on the car as well. CFMOTO, a world class motorcycle and off-road vehicle manufacturer with multiple locations worldwide, can also be found on the hood of the car.
The back bumper will also sport the OEM Pensacola logo, alongside Bad Boys Mowers, which is located in Batesville, Arkansas, and known for its revolutionizing zero-turn lawn mowers. Long time partner of Presley, the Layin Coin Podcast, will return this year on the rear quarter panel of all of his ARCA Menards Series outings. Additional marketing partners include Running’s Racing Designs and B Blaze Vintage.
Marketing opportunities are still available for Presley’s ARCA Menards Series East debut in the Pensacola 150 next Saturday, and for the remainder of the 2024 season.
“I can work with pretty much any budget, especially since we’re only one week from the opening race,” Sorah said. “We’re going to do the best we can, but additional partners will go a long way towards helping us cover the costs that are necessary in order to complete the full race.”
