Fresh from an exciting new personal best ET of 3.783 at the last round, Hydraulink Australia Jim Read Racing is riding a wave of confidence heading into this weekend’s Nitro Champs double header at their home-track of Sydney Dragway.
The new PB came as part of the team’s B-final victory against championship leader Wayne Newby at Dragway at The Bend, and making it even more impressive was the fact that it came despite an early shut-off for the Hydraulink Jim Read Racing Top Fuel Dragster.
“The entire team was thrilled to run a three-seventy in Adelaide, and who knows what that could have been if I hadn’t lifted off – it sure hurt me to do it, I tell you that,” driver Phil Read said.
