The USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire will send one of their three ladder classes to the 4.048-mile, 14-turn Road America this weekend. USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire teams and competitors will take on the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin facility for their penultimate event of the season as Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) will enter six drivers.
“It is an easier weekend with only six drivers in one series,” explained former NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver and JHDD Team Owner, Jay Howard. “Our season concludes in a few short weeks in Portland, and this weekend is an important one in our championship chase.”
Entering the weekend second in the championship point standings, Liam McNeilly will look to have a solid weekend and take over the point. Only nine markers behind the current leader with six wheel-to-wheel races remaining, McNeilly will be looking to add to his 2024 win total. Podium winner and front-runner G3 Argyros, who has been pulling double duty in two different series this season, will look to finish his USF Juniors campaign strong before making a full-time move to USF2000. Joining McNeilly and Argyros will be a quartet of drivers including Timothy Carel, JT Hoskins, Michael Boyiadzis, and JHDD newcomer Griffin Yellin.
Howard added, “A lot of our drivers have experience at Road America, while we have a few new competitors, and they will all be able to learn from one another. Whether our drivers are racing for wins, podiums, and a championship, or gaining experience for the future, Road America is one of the United States’ best facilities.”
Set to hit the track on Friday for a trio of test sessions, Saturday will be the home of official practice, qualifying, and race one while Sunday will see races two and three. Stay tuned to the JHDD social media pages for news, information, photos, and results from the event weekend.
