With one event weekend in the Pirelli GT-4 America program, Danny Dyszelski will race alongside co-driver Cayden Goodridge in a Porsche 718 GT4 RS. Set to battle the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) with VPX Motorsport, the young and talented Dyszelski will look to build upon his results from the Barber Motorsports Park round that ended with a pair of top-five finishes.
“It was a good weekend and a big learning experience in Alabama,” explained Dyszelski. “We closed the weekend with top-five finishes and improved from race one to two. Now, fully knowing what we need to do to be on top, I feel more prepared and confident heading to Indianapolis.”
Familiar with the IMS layout, courtesy of his years of open-wheel racing experience, Dyszelski will look to put track knowledge to good use.
Co-driving with Alex Ellis in the Barber event, Dyszelski will be joined by Cayden Goodridge in Indy. Goodridge has raced in Super Production Challenge with a Toyota GR 86, and then Radical Cup in 2023. Goodridge earned a pair of podiums and one victory with VPX Motorsport behind the wheel of a Cayman GT4. Looking to advance up the motorsports ladder, Goodridge will make his Pirelli GT4 America debut this weekend.
Dyszelski added, “I have competed and raced at Indy on several occasions, but this will be the first time I do it in a sportscar. We have a good support team in the VPX Motorsport crew around Cayden and me, so I am confident of success.”
In a longer than typical race weekend, Dyszelski will hit the Yard of Bricks on Thursday for a pair of practice sessions on Thursday with qualifying Friday that will set the grid for Saturday and Sunday. The first wheel-to-wheel race of the weekend will take the green flag on Saturday morning, with the second race on Sunday. Live Timing and Live Steam can be viewed at GT4America.com all weekend long.
