NHRA’s First All-Female Nitro Team
Alexis DeJoria and Ida Zetterström will be the first female drivers competing in the nitro classes for the same organization. The two drivers will compete under the JCM Racing umbrella—with DeJoria piloting her Bandero Premium Tequila Funny Car and Zetterström taking charge of the JCM Racing Top Fuel Dragster.
Meet The Drivers
Alexis DeJoria: A seasoned Drag Racer with over twelve years behind her as a team owner and driver in the NHRA Funny Car category.
Ida Zetterström: Returning to compete with JCM after a solid partial first year. Zetterström has ten races lined up in the 2025 season and aims to expand her schedule throughout the year.
Zetterström has already proven herself on European tracks, where she earned multiple championships, including two FIM Super Street Bike titles, along with being crowned FIA European Top Fuel champion in 2023.
Meanwhile, DeJoria holds accolades as one of the first female team owners in professional drag racing while scoring a win at the prestigious U.S. Nationals to go with her six wins in the NHRA Funny Car category
Both drivers are eager to get started, and both are slated to start testing at the Gainesville test session in early March before the NHRA Gator Nationals. Experienced crew chief Mike Neff will lead the Dejoria Team, while Jon Schaffer will take on the Crew Chief duties for Zetterström.
