BRYSON MORRIS CLAIMS TCR POLE AND FIRST CAREER IMSA MICHELIN PILOT CHALLENGE PODIUM

Bryson Morris opened the 2025 IMSA season impressively at Daytona

Rising motorsports star Bryson Morris opened the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season with a spectacular performance at Daytona International Speedway last week. Securing his first career podium with a second-place finish in the TCR class alongside co-driver Mark Wilkins in the #33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR, Morris also claimed the season’s first TCR class pole position on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

With the pole position on Thursday, this was Morris’ third pole position in a row dating back to last season, and his third track record in row.

The four-hour BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona, held during the legendary Rolex 24 weekend, was a thrilling race for Morris and his Bryan Herta Autosport team. Starting from the pole position, Morris and Wilkins delivered a near-flawless performance, taking home a well-deserved second-place finish, missing out on the win by 0.067 seconds. The result sets a promising tone for Morris’s sophomore season in the highly competitive Michelin Pilot Challenge.

“Daytona was an incredible way to start the season,” explained Morris. “Earning my third career pole, setting a new track record, and sharing the podium with Mark is awesome, and now I am ready for more. The #33 Hyundai Elantra was absolutely hooked up, and I can’t thank Bryan Herta Autosport enough for giving us a competitive car. I’m excited to build on this momentum as we head to Sebring.”

Looking ahead, Morris’ next Michelin Pilot Challenge race will be at the historic Sebring International Raceway, March 13-16, where he’ll aim to continue his strong start to the season.

“Sebring will be another exciting challenge,” Morris added. “I’m thrilled to get behind the wheel with Mark, and I am confident that we will be able to have another great and successful event as we kick off our run for the title.”
