Red Bull is reportedly set to make a driver change at the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix, replacing Liam Lawson with Yuki Tsunoda after just two races.
Following Sergio Perez’s departure in 2024, Red Bull initially chose Lawson over Tsunoda for the second seat, but Lawson’s lackluster performance—besting only 18th in qualifying and finishing 12th in races—has fallen far short of the performance of Max Verstappen.
With Red Bull aiming to secure both championships, Tsunoda’s promotion appears to be a necessary adjustment despite admitting a quick misstep in their lineup decisions.
