Bryan Hulbert – BOYD, Texas (August 11, 2023) Making their return after a seven year absence, a 26 car field rolled into Boyd Raceway on Friday night with the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating, where series point’s leader Cody Gardner stood triumphantly in Victory Lane.
Leading start to finish for the night’s $2,000 score, and his sixth career victory with the wingless racing tour, Gardner’s margin of victory was 2.978-seconds over Keith Martin. Third went to Justin Zimmerman, while Anthony Nicholson and Paul White completed the top five.
Gary Floyd was sixth, followed by Chase Brewer, Jeb Sessums, Wesley Smith, and Jason Howell, who picked up 11 positions to complete the top ten.
The ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating races again at Lawton Speedway on Saturday, August 12.
Racing goes green at 8:30 P.M. Fans can enter the track starting at 6:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for Seniors, youth (12-15), and Military, $2 for kids 6-11, and free for kids five and under. In addition to the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series, divisions include USRA Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and USRA Modifieds.
The ASCS Elite Wing and Non-Wing Series is owned and operated by Nathan Moore and operates under the sanction of the American Sprint Car Series. Rules for both tours can be found at http://www.ascsracing.com.
